Text Box: Meramec EMS Paramedics stood out at several locations around the 256 square mile ambulance district to help collect money for the Burns Recovered Support Group. This non-for profit organization sends children who have been burned to burn camp. This camp teaches children of burn injuries that just because your skin is scarred, it doesn't mean that you can’t have a childhood.
Text Box: Over the weekend of April 30, 2010– May 2, 2010, paramedics collected $1,420.22. This charitable donation was doubled from last year. Thanks to the kind heartedness of our citizens one child can enjoy a summer of fun-filled activities, despite their appearance.

Text Box: Meramec EMS Paramedics are not afraid to help out in a fight. Last fall you may have seen the ambulance personnel wearing their pink shirts in support of breast cancer. During the month of October Meramec EMS sold pink t-shirts as well as held a 5k run in honor of those who are fighting, and those who have lost the fight against breast cancer.
Recently, John, from the Shaw’s Nature Reserve in Gray Summit, accepted a check in the amount of $735.00 from the paramedics of the ambulance district for allowing them to use the reserve. In addition, Alison Tonsing, from Susan G. Komen, accepted a donation in the amount of 3,000.00. This donation is intended for breast cancer research. Thank you to all of those who gave to the paramedics, to help fight breast cancer.
